Carnelian
The first time I saw carnelian, or cornelian as it is sometimes spelled, at the jewelry show, I did not think much of it. The more I went to the jewelry shows, the more I see its potential.
Brown is the color of fall this year. Everywhere the stores are selling brown pants, brown shirts, brown handbags. So why not have some brown jewelry?
Having a brown piece of jewelry can enhance your fall outfit. Brown goes with many colors -- red, yellow, white, green, or any light colors will bring out the richness of the stone.
Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of chalcedony. The word is derived from the Latin word meaning flesh, in reference to the flesh color it sometimes exhibits.
Carnelian can help one to balance between mental focus and creative inspiraion. Could that be the reason why I was eventually drawn to it?
