Nephrite

I use this gem stone in my jewelry pieces when I am looking for something that does not have a very shiny appearance. Its pale color gives it substance while the milkiness of it make it less outstanding when paired with a high gloss stone such as black onyx.

Nephrite is a form of jade. Its color ranges from creamy white to dark green.

It was used as an amulets against kidney disorders in ancient times.
