Prehnite

It took me a long while before I was able to determine what this stone you see here is. I asked many different vendors at the jewelry trade show who had this stone for sale. I got many different answers. I finally got one person to write down the name for me. I went home to do some research. Yes. This is called prehnite with tourmaline.

Prehnite has a pale green to a yellowish grass green coloring. It also comes in gray, white or colorless. It is a rare gemstone that was form as a result of hydrothermal action in mafic volcanics. It was discovered by a Dutch Colonel named Hendrik Von Prehn in the 18th century

Prehnite is the first mineral that was named after a person.

In China, prehnite is known as Grape Jade because of its "bunch of grapes" appearance when found in nature.

Prehnite is known as the prediction stone among Channellers and Shamans. It is believed to have healing powers. It was used to reduce high blood pressure and control hypertension, anemia and blood disorders. It can also enhance one's protective field, dreaming and remembrance, bring peace and calm, and help build the immune system.

Its color and unusual touch can generate serenity and tranquility. It is ideal for stress release.
