How I Began

VLo Design was created by me, Vivian Lo.

I was trained as an architect, city planner, and urban designer. Due to raising a family, I decided to leave the work force for twelve years until my three children become more independent.

After the twelve years of being a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to go back to the world of the productive adult. I decided that architecture would take me away from home too much and decided to go into the world of graphic design instead.

Having worked as a graphic designer for the past eight plus years, I wanted to get into another area of design. With my training in architecture, urban design, graphic design, and having taken classes in jewelry design in college, I wanted to give jewelry design a try. I put together a few pieces for my friends and they all loved what I created.

With my friends and family's encouragement and support, I decided that I can do this.

Almost a year after the inception of this idea, here we are, my own jewelry line.

About the Line

All the pieces that I created are one-of-a-kind or of limited editions. If you do not like having the same thing as your next door neighbor, my line is just the thing for you.

Each piece had been individually created using mostly precious and semiprecious stones like garnet, amethyst, jade, pearl, coral, turquoise, quartz, and silver, just to name a few. I love to go to gem shows in California and going through jewelry markets in China looking for unique stones for my collection.

Special Orders

Do you have a special piece of pendent you really like but cannot wear it because there is no necklace to wear it with and you do not want to just wearing it on a silver or gold chain? I can design one for you.

Did you see a piece in the collection but want to have it lengthened or shortened or having another type of stone? I may be able to change it for you. (That depends on the style of the piece.)

Email me with your ideas.
