Why Wear Jewelry
Jewelry, for a long time, has been an indication of status. Wearing a certain kind of jewelry accessories can indicate the wearer's status in the community. It can make the wearer feel powerful and even authoritative.
Remember, when we were still children or when your own child put on that tiara how excited they were? Even when that tiara was made out of shiny silver card board hooked at the back. Or when Burger King gave out the paper crowns that the little boys and girls wore to pretend they were king or queen.
 Just because one wears a tiara or crown does not make the person a real queen or princess, king or prince. But wearing that tiara or crown can surely make the wearer feel like or pretend to be a queen or princess while it is on their head. The tiara or crown does not need to be made out of diamonds. It can be cubic zirconia, rhinestone, crystals, or even just cut glass, plastic, or paper to have that effect. It is what the tiara symbolizes that can makes one feel good about themselves.
By the same token, wearing jewelry can make us feel good about our appearance and increase our confidence. It can show off our individual style and personality. |

Different Jewelry for Different Occasions
Why do we women have the need to acquire so many of the same things such as shoes, purses, and jewelry? So that we can have the right item to go with the right outfit for the right occasion.
We need the right shade of color together with the right style of shoes to match the dress we just bought. Having the right piece of jewelry and accessories complete the outfit.
Weddings
 When we go to a wedding, we tend to wear our best jewelry pieces. Our best foot forward, shall we say. "Bling-bling" is the word. Often times we know the other guests or family members, sad to say, will compare what we have on with what they have on, consciously or unconsciously. We also get judged on how well we are doing from how we present ourselves during these affairs.
Memorial Services
If we have to go to a memorial service, we surely do not want to show too much "bling". A simple earring or necklace as our accessory should be sufficient.

Then there are fun, playful times that a piece of fun jewelry can enhance our mood. Wearing a bright, colorful piece can lift our spirits.
